Balearic Islands: a perfect fusion of sailing adventures and endless enjoyment

The Balearic Islands not only offer unspoiled nature and crystal-clear waters but have also always been the European hub for summer nightlife. So why not discover them by sailboat and combine a boat cruise with fun?

Sailing on a sailboat is a unique opportunity to break away from the daily routine, enjoy nature, and sunbathe. However, not all crews appreciate the solitude and tranquility of the bays when they are on board. Younger people rightfully need to party, go dancing, and experience nightlife. After all, this is also part of the vacation.

A destination that can satisfy them is undoubtedly the Balearic Islands. It is well known that these Spanish islands, Ibiza, as well as Formentera and Majorca, are the perfect meeting place for young people who want to spend carefree days amid paradise beaches, crowded clubs, and nightlife. Moreover, rich in ports, marinas, and nautical services of all kinds, they are also the preferred destination for sailors. Let’s see then how to have fun when stepping ashore.

In Playa d’En Bossa in Ibiza, people dance until dawn

Balearic Islands, where sailing meets fun. If you’re looking for more than just sailing with the wind – loud music, endless beaches for sipping cocktails, and non-stop entertainment for 24 hours – you must dock at Playa d’En Bossa on the island of Ibiza. It’s here that you’ll find the most famous nightclubs on the island: Ushuaia, Hi Ibiza, Sankeys, just to name a few, where big names like Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, and Eric Prydz perform.

Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza are the exclusive super clubs, while if you’re after a more intimate and underground atmosphere, Sankeys is definitely your spot. Playa d’en Bossa also has many trendy bars where you can enjoy a pre-club cocktail. You can even dance until dawn on the sand at Bora Bora.

Es Pujols, nightlife and beach parties

Those who love having some fun even when sailing cannot help but love Es Pujols. It is one of the most sought-after locations in Formentera and one of the island’s most important tourist centers. Not only because it boasts a magnificent beach, Playa des Pujols, where you can sunbathe, but also because it is full of bars and nightclubs where you can dance to the rhythms of the most beloved DJs of the moment. Formentera’s most popular nightclub is Pineta Club. Twin of the famous location in Milano Marittima, it’s a place to have fun and enjoy excellent cocktails. Each night is centered around a theme. For those who love reggaeton music, there are Mamacita and Vida Loca nights, while if you prefer commercial or house music, you can choose Glitter or Pink nights. Equally famous is the Tipic nightclub. This venue, open since the 1970s, has made history in Formentera’s club music scene and still hosts some of Europe’s most important DJs.

Valid alternatives include Rigatoni, a venue where the famous ‘dinner-shows’ take place, or Pachanka, a disco pub open from 11 pm until 6 am with free entry. Finally, excellent ‘pre-nightclub’ options are The Beach, which offers the opportunity to drink and dance under the stars until late at night, and Blue Bar, a historic venue and famous hippy hangout in the 1970s located on the wonderful Migjorn beach.

In Magaluf, here’s how to get lost among the clubs of Punta Ballena

Located approximately 7 miles from Palma de Mallorca, there is Magaluf, by definition the place of fun, clubs, and discos in the Balearic Islands. The itinerary for those staying in Magaluf is incredibly flexible: during the day, you can anchor in the bay or relax on the beach, and in the evening, you can dine in restaurants enjoying typical Spanish cuisine, such as seafood paella. Afterward, the night continues with dancing until dawn.

The ultimate nightlife street is Carrer Punta Ballena, nicknamed “The Strip,” a suggestive name that gives you an idea of the kind of nights to expect in these parts.

Here, among the many venues, is BMC Palace Dance, one of the most frequented nightclubs in the world, with a lineup that enriches every year with the most famous names among DJs, singers, and performers. This legendary temple of fun has a capacity of over 4,000 people; its three dance floors are animated by the best international DJs, and the high-tech sound system used to pump music is one of the most expensive in the world. The collective euphoria of BCM Palace Dance is made unique by spectacular 3D laser shows with incredible special effects and some of the sexiest go-go girls from the international clubbing scene. Don’t miss the wild “foam parties” that are organized twice a week, during which all inhibitions are shed.
